Drive-in restaurants are all but a thing of the past. The ones that exist today are a nostalgic throwback to a time when the world was simpler. They are the types of places where people could hang out for hours, enjoying both food and life. Visiting Phillips Drive-In (or P.D.I. as it is also called), one can almost picture classic cars filling the lot on a Friday night and groups of teens and families ordering and eating burgers at their vehicles.

It all started as a Dairy Queen back in 1948.  The name was then changed to Phillips Drive-In (aka P.D.I.) in the 1960s.

Mr. Joe Phillips was the original owner and he ran it for many years after. As you may have already guessed, Phillips Drive-In is named after him.
Nighttime is always fun to enjoy the food at a drive-in.

P.D.I. is open until 10 p.m., six nights a week.

Just order any burger without a bun and your meal will come healthy(ish). The philly cheesesteak can also be ordered without the bread.
