Though Daniella was born in New York and has lived in a couple of other states, Mississippi has been her home for more than 30 years. After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi, Daniella began to hone her writing skills through various internships. Traveling back in time may be impossible, but you can get pretty close with a trip to Brent’s Drugs in Jackson. In business for decades, the diner features mouthwatering fare along with a whole bunch of nostalgia. Offering a dining experience like no other, it’s easy to see why Brent’s has remained a local favorite throughout the years.

Part of Jackson's historic Fondren District, Brent's Drugs is located in the Woodland Hills Shopping Center.
Brent's also offers a variety of sandwiches, from a standard club to the Pimento Cheese, which is one of the diner's specialties and a customer favorite.
Head to the back of Brent’s, and you’ll find a cocktail bar known as The Apothecary. Named one of the "best bars in the south" by Southern Living, it’s open Tuesday through Saturday from 5 pm – 1 am.
