Please note: The pumpkin patch at Liberty Mills Farm is scheduled to open for pick-your-own pumpkins on September 23, 2023. Before then, pre-cut pumpkins will be available for purchase from the market.

And as the temperatures slowly begin to drop, everyone's favorite fall-time crop begins to grow: pumpkins!

Liberty Mills Farm has quite a sizable pumpkin patch, and the farm is known for growing beautiful varieties of pumpkins and gourds.

Their pumpkin patch is located on a lovely hillside overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Visitors are invited to find their perfect pumpkin and cut it right from the patch. It's the perfect souvenir to take home and remember your farm visit.

The farm offers wheelbarrows for visitors to carry their pumpkins from the patch to the check-out station.

And remember -- always carry pumpkins from the bottom. The stems are fragile and can break off!

But that's just the beginning of the fun festivities offered at Liberty Mills, which is perhaps most famous for its gigantic corn maze. Ready to be impressed? The maze at Liberty Mills Farm is the largest in the entire country!

Don't be too intimidated, though. There are four separate trails, so there's truly a maze for all ages to enjoy.
