The Magical Polar Express Train Ride In Oregon Everyone Should Experience At Least Once
Experience a magical Christmas journey on the Polar Express Train Ride with Mt Hood Railroad in Oregon.
Christmas in Oregon is positively magical. One great way to celebrate the winter season is to book a ticket on the amazing Polar Express Train Ride, a unique excursion run by the scenic Mt Hood Railroad. Climb aboard a vintage train and prepare to embark on an unforgettable journey to the North Pole, complete with caroling, Santa Claus, cocoa and cookies, and so much more. This incredible family excursion is sure to get you in the spirit for Christmas.
Every winter, the amazing Mt Hood Railroad takes visitors on an unforgettable Christmas excursion inspired by the book (and movie) The Polar Express.
The Polar Express Train Ride brings the story to life in the form of dancing chefs, wreathes of holly, hot cocoa, carols, a reading from the book, and Santa Claus himself.
The train departs at 11:30am and 2:00, 4:30, and 7:00pm and takes visitors on a magical train ride to the "North Pole", where Santa will be waiting with a sleigh bell gift for every child.
Climb aboard at the Mt. Hood Railway, located in Hood River; the trip is about an hour and 15 minutes in total.
It's recommended that kids (and adults too, if you'd like!) come dressed in their PJs, just like in the story.
The train runs on numerous days in November and December. Seats sell out quickly, so I'd recommend booking your Golden Ticket early.
Check out the schedule and book your tickets on the Mt Hood Railroad website. The train departs from the depot at 110 Railroad Street, Hood River, Oregon.
