Less than 250 residents call Rocheport, Missouri home, but hundreds of visitors flock to the town to enjoy nature, wine, and antique shopping. Rocheport was established in the early 1800's as a trading post between white settlers and Native Americans. Most of the buildings in town are from the 1830's and are now a part of the National Register of Historic Places.
Visit the historic district and pop into the many boutique and antique shops. The fall colors envelop the tiny town and bring a sense of peace and tranquility.
Stretch your legs and walk around the quiet streets or bring your bike and head down to the riverfront. Although Rocheport is small, there is a lot to do and see.
The Katy Trail is one of the most popular attractions in Rocheport. The trees along the river bluff burst into color around mid-October making for a beautiful and scenic ride.
Another popular hangout in Rocheport is Les Bourgeois Vineyards. Sitting on top of the river bluffs, the vineyard has sweeping views of the surrounding canopy. Sip a glass of wine and enjoy a meal while you take in the views.
On weekends, the vineyard offers live music and on warm days you can sit outside on their patio. There's no better view in the state.
