A great way to enjoy the outdoors here in the area is by heading to Fernalds Neck.
Located within Camden Hills State Park on the north end of Megunticook Lake, this Preserve protects nearly 3 miles of shoreline. This is a great place to hike while taking in the beauty of the lake. You can check out more about Fernalds Neck and the amazing hiking found there.
If you visit between September and mid-November you'll want to stop by Sewall Organic Orchard.
This is Maine's oldest organic apple orchard and it's both beautiful and delicious. Pick up some Prima, Priscilla, Golden Delicious, and Jonagold apples and check out the cider press for an authentically good time. be sure to head on over to the Sewall Orgainic Orchard's Website before you plan a visit.
You can't enjoy a trip to the midcoast without a visit to the actual coast and for that we like Lincolnville Beach.
The beach is teensy, but the views of Penobscot Bay and Islesboro Island are gorgeous.
