1. Alma

Located within the Arkansas River Valley, Alma is enjoyed by many active outdoors enthusiasts who get out and about here on their, bikes (standard or motorcyle), or go boating/swimming. Alma is also home to Eagle Crest, on of Arkansas's finest golf courses.

2. Lonoke

For those seeking to get back to the land, Lonoke is a great place to live. Not only has this central Arkansas town kept its homey vibe for decades without letting too much progress spoil the town's history, but the agricultural wealth and education available in Lonoke is beneficial for anyone who wants to live and eat green.

3. Beebe

Not too far away from the Natural State's more popular and populated towns, Beebe has a population of approximately 7,500 residents. Education is a key part of the town's culture if you're a student seeking post-secondary education somewhere that's not crawling with crazy college kids. The city is home to a branch campus of Jonesboro-based Arkansas State University.

4. Jasper

If you miss small town living, then Jasper is exactly where you belong to catch up on the good old days. Surrounded by scenic locations and the beautiful Buffalo River, Jasper is chock full of outdoor activities to enjoy, such as camping, caving, rock climbing, hiking, canoeing, hunting, mountain biking, horseback riding, and fishing.

5. Siloam Springs

Located in the northwest part of the state near the Arkansas-Oklahoma border, Siloam Springs has a population of approximately 16,000. The town is known for its natural beauty and friendly locals. Residents especially enjoy Scenic Sager Creek, flowing through downtown with its rock wall lined banks.

6. Ozark

There's a lot of wealth in this small town! With a population of nearly 2,000, Murfreesboro balances quaint country living with a lot of tourism. Visitors are attracted to this natural wonder thanks to the Crater of Diamonds State Park, where both locals and out of towners often go to have a fun day of digging, getting dirty, and possibly getting rich by finding a gem!

8. Heber Springs

This peaceful little town is well known for its outdoor sporting activities that will ensure you get your exercise and your leisure at the same time.

9. Fairfield Bay

Located on the shores of Greers Ferry Lake, Fairfield Bay is an exceptional place to live, not just visit! 10. Norfork

Located in Baxter County, Norfork is one of the smallest (the population is under 600) towns in Arkansas and yet remains full of much of the state's history. The Jacob Wolf House, constructed in 1829, still stands in Norfork. On the banks of both the North Fork and the White Rivers, Norfork is a delightful place for fishermen to spend some peaceful time.
