Google Will Now Let You See The True Price Of A Flight, Including Baggage Fees

Have you ever found a killer flight deal, only to realize that factoring in baggage fees makes it a much more expensive fare?

Google Flights has come up with a solution. The search engine’s flight comparison tool is now letting passengers see the true price of their plane ticket, including fees for carry-on bags or checked luggage.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

Individuals can now choose to search with 0 or 1 carry-on bags or 1 checked bag. The prices for the flights shown will then update to reflect the real amount you should expect to pay to get you and your stuff from A to B.

This cool new feature is only available for domestic flight searches at this point in time, but it will be coming to the international side of things soon.

With airlines making $4.5 billion in baggage fees and charges last year, this is a great way to make sure you to don’t fall victim to unexpected expenses while traveling.
