Everyone with a smart phone or camera today knows how to take selfies while on an amazing vacation. Having the ability, however, doesn’t mean you SHOULD. There are some sound arguments as to why you should refrain from the practice whenever possible, and opt to hand over your camera to a fellow traveler for a photo instead. Here’s 7 reasons why:
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/
While some travelers still look to their selfie-stick to provide photos, keep in mind many of the more popular hot spots are now banning them due to safety and crowd concerns. Just ask someone nearby to take your photo, and offer to then take yours, and you’re likely to be happier with the keepsake that results!
