A Deadly Wildfire Is Overtaking Parts Of California And Is Forcing Thousands Of Evacuations

A recent wildfire outbreak has moved into the Northern California city of Redding and threatens thousands of homes, buildings, and residents. Many have been forced to evacuate the projected path of this fire, which reporters noted seemingly came out of nowhere. Here’s more on this devastating event:

The recent wildfire that originated near Carr, California has tripled in size overnight and even jumped over a river as it rages in Northern California.

Several homes in the city of Redding have been completely destroyed by the path of this raging wildfire.

Officials worry about the nature of the fire as it moves within city limits of an area populated by 92,000 people. The strength of the fire is attributed to heavy winds and unusual weather conditions.

Even those that aren't in the direct pathway of the fire have been asked to evacuate in an effort to save as many lives as possible. Unfortunately, two lives have already been lost.

Firefighters are in "life saving mode," meaning that rather than trying to control the burn, they are going door to door in an effort to evacuate as many as possible.
