The Washington Monument Is Scheduled To Reopen Soon After A 3-Year Renovation
Few places are more iconic in the American landscape than the Washington Monument. This landmark serves as a symbol for our Nation’s Capital and has stood witness to some of the most significant moments in history. The monument was built in 1885 in honor of George Washington. Since then, it has required much maintenance to ensure it stands for generations to come. Its most recent renovation was a three-year project, which has just recently been completed.
