Richard Branson Is Launching His Own Cruise Line For Adults Only
Ready to start saving up for your next getaway? Well, Virgin Voyages is giving you until 2020 to get your plans in order! Sir Richard Branson’s first adult-only cruise ship will be setting sail soon and here’s what you’ll want to know.
Currently known as the Lady Ships, the first of three Virgin Voyages cruise ships will set sail in 2020.
The first 110,000 ton mid-size cruise ship will launch in 2020, with the second ship launching in 2021 and the last ship launching in 2022.
Based out of Miami and offering getaway cruises to islands in the Caribbean, the Lady Ships will be for adults only.
That's right! In order to enjoy Sir Richard Branson's upcoming ships you'll have to be at least 18 years old. The decision to make the ships adult-only came after the company received feedback from a variety of people. Virgin Voyages intends to make this a more elevated experience for passengers.
Branson claims the ships will be the most recognizable vessels at sea, featuring smoked glass and a sleek gray exterior.
The three Lady Ships will accommodate roughly 2,700 passengers and a crew of over 1,000 members. Virgin Voyages says they're dedicated to making sure their crew members are happy and proud to be sailing with the company.
Virgin Voyages ships are highly anticipated to say the least.
A few things we have to look forward to about the Lady Ships? Roughly 90% of the cabins will have an ocean view and balcony!
