You Can Now Use Uber For Bikes, Buses, And Trains

Uber is expanding its repertoire of transportation magic by giving users the ability to request bikes, book and pay for train and bus tickets, and even rent a car through the app.

For the first time ever, people will have access to Uber Rent, which will let users find local cars for short-term rentals through the Uber app.

Uber also announced that it has acquired bike share service Jump, which allows users to reserve “dockless” electric bikes that can be unlocked and used with just the Uber app.

Currently, Uber is rolling out the bike option in San Francisco and Washington D.C. The company is also working with New York MTA, Boston MBTA, LA Metrolink, and Las Vegas RTC to integrate the app with public transport in those cities.

The company has stated that its aim is to reduce dependance on privately owned vehicles. These new offerings definitely suggest that Uber is serious about persuading you to ditch your car payment once and for all.
