A Minuscule New Airport Has Opened On The West Coast And Its Actually Pretty Amazing
Bigger isn’t always better, as Washington’s newest airport definitely proves.
Paine Field Airport has just opened in Everett, Washington, and passengers are already going crazy for its sleek design, simple layout, and user-friendly feel.
Paine Field has just two gates and one terminal, meaning that the vibe inside is shockingly relaxed and mellow. Security screenings take just a minute or two and the check-in area is soothingly minimalistic. There’s plenty of comfortable seating (i.e. real armchairs) and lots of natural light.
Until the new airport opened, people flying out of Snohomish County had been forced to drive nearly an hour to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Now locals can use Paine Field to fly to destinations like Las Vegas, Phoenix, Los Angles, San Francisco, and Portland, with more routes coming soon.
