This U.S. Airline Is Launching Flights To Hawaii For Under $50

Hawaii has long been a classic getaway destination for Americans, but getting there can be expensive. Now, one airline is launching routes to the island state for way less than its competitors.

Southwest Airlines has announced new routes to the Hawaiian islands from California, and it’s celebrating with a massive sale on fares. One-way flights start at just $49, which is several hundred less than other major airlines. Seeing as a round-trip ticket to Hawaii can easily set you back four digits, these fares are pretty tempting.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! The carrier will begin flying passengers to Hawaii from Oakland, San Diego, and San Jose on March 17, 2019. Additional flights will be added from Sacramento in the future. You can also use Southwest to jump between islands for as low as $29 one way.

Of course, these sale prices aren’t likely to be the new normal for flights to Hawaii. However, experts are speculating that flights to the islands could become less expensive across the board due to the increased competition offered by Southwest.
