Travelers Beware: This West Coast Airport Is Dealing With A Rat Infestation
Seattle-Tacoma Airport (SEA) is a busy West Coast airport. Unfortunately, it’s currently teeming with more than travelers. The airport is now dealing with an infestation of rats.
The problem is due in part to a number of construction projects that are ongoing at the airport. These projects have allowed rats to enter the terminals, where they’ve gorged themselves on passengers’ discarded food scraps.
Airport officials report that the problem is being dealt with. Terminal restaurants and food stands are employing “deep cleans” to make sure that everything is sanitary and the airport is adding $449,000 to its pest control budget to help solve the problem.
Travelers are urged to not leave any waste behind them in the terminals, as this may attract more unwanted furry visitors.
