This California Town Was Just Named America’s Richest

Looking to settle down amongst the wealthiest neighbors in America? Then you’ll want to call this small California suburb home.

Atherton has been named the richest town in America by Bloomberg in their newest report. Using the most recent Census data, the list ranks the top 100 wealthiest communities in the country. The small town of Atherton came out on top.

The six-square-mile town boasts a staggering average household income of $443,403. That’s a full $50,000 higher than the second place town, Colorado’s Cherry Hills Village.

The list was dominated by East and West Coast city suburbs, but there were a few Midwest standouts such as The Village of Indian Hill, Ohio (yes, that’s its full name) and Winnetka, Illinois.
