Here’s A Surprising Way To Avoid Flight Delays That You Probably Haven’t Thought Of

Most people dread the possibility of a flight delay. It can ruin vacation plans and make transportation to and from the airport much more difficult. New data from the U.S. Department of Transportation reveals a surprising way to avoid flight delays – book with a regional airline.

The new report shows that four regional domestic carriers – SkyWest, Endeavor Air, ExpressJet and Republic Airlines – have better track records than larger airlines like American, United, JetBlue, and Southwest when it comes to getting passengers where they need to be on time.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

In fact, JetBlue and American Airlines had the worst on-time arrival records of all major airlines operating in the U.S. The top five most timely airlines were Hawaiian, Delta, Alaska, SkyWest, and Endeavor.

The next time you really need to be somewhere without a minute to spare, consider booking a ticket with a smaller regional airline rather than a nationwide carrier. It might cost you a few more bucks, but that’s better than sitting at the gate for an extra hour.
