A New York Flight Was Just Quarantined After 100 Passengers Became Ill
A flight landing in New York City was quarantined on Wednesday after at least 100 passengers reported symptoms of illness.
According to CBS News, the Emirates flight from Dubai was stopped on the tarmac at John F. Kennedy airport while officials from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) assessed the situation.
Several crew members and many passengers were complaining of symptoms including vomiting, a deep cough, fever, and headache.
At least 10 passengers were taken to the hospital following the quarantine and nine additional passengers refused treatment. The passengers filled out forms and had their temperatures taken before disembarking.
Authorities claim that the dozens passengers afflicted with these symptoms on the 14-hour flight were all suffering from the flu.
