Governor's Island has become a more and more developed lately. With views of New York City's skyline and the Statue of Liberty, visitors from all over are attracted to this small piece of the Northeast. Collective Retreats recently announced that they will be offering getaways on Governor's Island.

Known for creating high-end glamping experiences, Collective Retreats explained that they are thrilled to be expanding on such a historic place such as Governor's Island, with nothing else like it in New York City. The retreat will be set up on the west side of the island, so those who visit will have views of the Statue of Liberty and plenty of fun activities to enjoy. The retreat will feature a deck for things like yoga, live music and performances and also have food trucks nearby for you to check out.

Operating from May through October, the retreat will be able to welcome roughly 100 guests. Offering three different kinds of shelters, you'll have your pick from Standard Luxury Tents that come with a king-size bed and private bathroom, Premium Bell Tents that come with queen-size beds and shared bathrooms and also suites that are within container-style units.
With the hopes of making this a place that local New Yorkers feel comfortable vacationing away to, Collective Retreats has focused on making sure this is one getaway that's affordable. Weekday rates for this one-of-a-kind vacation will start at $75 dollars a night, with bell-service tents starting at $125 dollars per night.
