This New York Hotel Is Using NASA Technology To Help Guests Fall Asleep

As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.

The Gregory Hotel in New York City doesn’t just want its guests to stay the night. This swanky spot wants them to get the best sleep of their lives.

The Gregory is a Midtown hotel that has created what it calls the “Ultimate Sleep Room.” It’s fully loaded with products and tech that are designed to help visitors drift off in no time. Coolest of all, the stuff they use is backed by NASA.

The Ultimate Sleep Room is equipped with smart pillows that track REM sleep, play music, and vibrate to wake you up. The mini fridge in the room is stocked with Nightfood ice cream, which is specially formulated to help encourage sweet dreams. You’ll also find down boot slippers, CBD spray, gel eye masks, and sheets made of eucalyptus fibers. The lights in the sleep room are also the same kind used by NASA to help astronauts fall asleep in space.

So how much will this experience cost you? Not as much as you’d think. Guests can bed down in the Ultimate Sleep Room until April 10, 2019 starting at $199 per night.
