This State Was Just Voted The Most Fun In America

Every state brings something different to the table. Whether you go for the majestic mountains, the sleepy small towns, or even to do some shopping somewhere with a lower sales tax, there’s a reason to visit all 50 states. But one in particular might deliver the biggest dose of fun.

WalletHub just released its list of the most fun states in America, and California came out on top.

The researchers looked at 26 factors that could influence how much fun you have in a particular place. The factors included things like access to beaches and national parks, nightlife, cost of food and drink, and even arcades per capita.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

California won out with a score of 59.42 out of 100. It was trailed by New York with 57.39, Nevada with 55.28, and Florida with 54.63.

Some have been quick to point out that California is huge. Just how huge? To give you an idea, California has the fifth largest economy in the world, beating out the United Kingdom. That means that it might have an unfair advantage in terms of space and resources.

Still, if you’re looking to have an incredible vacation, a visit to the Golden State could be just the thing.
