One Popular Hotel Chain Is Making It Harder To Get Complimentary Breakfast

Travel perks have become thin over the past decade, and Hyatt Hotels is making it harder to enjoy one of the most popular benefits of booking with the hotel chain: complimentary breakfast.

The brand has announced that World of Hyatt members who book their stay with third-party sites will no longer be eligible to indulge in free breakfast during their stay. Traditionally, complimentary breakfasts have been a perk available to Hyatt members and anyone staying in a room with those members.

Now, the brand is removing the benefit for members who book with travel sites like, Expedia, Kayak, and other third-party websites. In order to get your free bacon and eggs, you’ll have to book directly with Hyatt through their website.

Though this new policy is likely meant to cut down on commission costs associated with accepting bookings through third-party sites, the move is proving to be unpopular with hungry guests.
