A New Study Reveals This Is Actually The Germiest Spot In An Airport
This news will make you want to stop what you’re doing and wash your hands.
A new study published this week in BMC Infectious Diseases has just revealed the most germy place in an airport, and it’s something that you can’t avoid touching.
The researchers found that the most bacteria-laden items were the trays you place your belongings in at security. The study also states that about 10 percent of the places you touch in an airport are carrying a virus. Scary.
The study also found that places like staircase railings, cash registers at airport shops, and check-in counters had high levels of the common cold virus.
Though security bins definitely aren’t the only grimy things in airports, you might want to employ a squirt of hand-sanitizer after going through security.
