This Is The U.S. Airport With The Fastest Cell Service In The Country

There’s no substitute for speed, and unfortunately it looks like most of America’s airports are sorely lacking in fast cell service.

In fact, there’s only one airport where you can expect a fast connection to the internet through your cell data, according to a recent study by Speedtest.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

After testing cell speeds at 30 major airports across North America, researchers confirmed that the one place where you can expect decent service is Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

Distressingly, this was the only American airport to even make it into the top five. It’s sandwiched between Vancouver and Toronto at #1 and #2 and Calgary and Montreal at the #4 and #5 spots, respectively.

When Speedtest compared download and upload speeds via cellular data at all airports, it seemed that downloading was almost universally faster than uploading. Good news if you’re trying to load that movie on your tablet for a flight, bad news if you’re trying to post vacation pics.
