The Most Deadly U.S. Transportation Accident In Nearly 10 Years Just Happened

On Saturday, October 6th, 2018, the deadliest transportation accident in the U.S. since 2009 took place. Nearly 10 years after the Colgan Air Flight 3407 crash near Buffalo, New York, the Empire State has experienced another tragic accident.

In Schoharie, New York, roughly 40 miles west of Albany, a deadly limousine accident shook the community and the country, claiming the lives of 20 people – sisters, brothers, married couples, a teacher, a veteran, and others. The limousine was transporting a group of friends and family to a birthday party in Cooperstown when it failed to stop at an intersection, hitting a parked car and coming to a halt in a ravine by the Apple Barrel Country Store.
