These Two States May Soon Ditch Daylight Saving Time For Good
Those of us who are lucky enough to live in the Northeast know that there are plenty of pros and cons to living in an area of the country where we get to fully experience all four seasons. As beautiful as winter can be, one of the things that people tend to dread most of all is the fact that our days become so much shorter. Making an effort to address the issue of 4PM sunsets, these two states in the U.S. may soon be getting rid of Daylight Saving Time for good.

New England states Massachusetts and Maine are taking steps to end the longtime tradition of setting the clocks back an hour during winter. The two states have been considering ending Daylight Saving Time for quite awhile now, with bigger efforts being made in recent years.
Instead of dealing with depressing days where the sun sets at 4PM, these two states are looking to join the Atlantic Time Zone to get an extra hour of sunlight during the day. According to several reports, much of what has prolonged the use of Daylight Saving Time in these two states is the fact that it's been tradition for so long.
