You Can Now Bid On Incredible Suite Upgrades On This Cruise Line

There’s nothing like scoring an upgrade when you travel, and if you’re sailing with Royal Caribbean, nabbing that cheap upgrade just got a little bit easier.

The cruise line has just announced that it is rolling out a program it calls Royal Up. This new stateroom upgrade system allows guests to bid on everything from larger rooms to rooms with private balconies.

After customers submit bids in one of several categories, the cruise line will notify the auction winner of their new upgrade.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/

One thing to be aware of: the bid applies to the first two people on the reservation. For example, if you bit $200 on a room upgrade, you will actually be charged $400.

The program is only available to eligible passengers, who will receive an email from the company if they are permitted to participate in the program.

When you feel like trying your luck while bargain hunting, this new program could take your cruise up a notch.
