An Incredible Private Ski Resort Just Opened In Colorado But It’ll Cost You A Pretty Penny
As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
When it comes to finding the best ski resorts in America, one of the best places that you can look is in Colorado. A state that’s known for having quite a few noteworthy resorts and jaw-dropping mountains, Colorado just unveiled its first and only private ski resort in the San Juan Mountains and it’s absolutely spectacular.

Right in Telluride, the Cimarron Mountain Club is Colorado’s first and only private ski resort in the state. With access to over 60 skiable runs that are spread throughout 1,000 private acres of land, any true skier would love to have the chance to be part of this exclusive club. Being a member of this resort also means you’ll have a 35-acre piece of land that you can build on. Or, choose to spend the night in the resort’s three-bedroom club cabin or one of two yurts!
So, what makes the Cimarron Mountain Club so exclusive? There are two things. First, it’s the fact that only 13 families are limited to joining this private ski resort, with roughly half of the spots already taken up. The second is that it costs a total of $2.285 million dollars to become a member of the ski resort, with additional yearly fees that range from $55,000 to $65,000.
