These Are The 10 Busiest Airports To Avoid Over Thanksgiving

If you’re traveling for the holidays, you’ll want to avoid these 10 busy US airports.

According to AAA, more than 54 million Americans are expected to travel over 50 miles from home this Thanksgiving. That means that airports and other transportation hubs will be swamped with people trying to get to or back from holiday festivities.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

Atlanta (ATL), Los Angles (LAX), and Chicago (ORD) are expected to the be the most crowded airports in American over Thanksgiving. Other hectic hubs will include Dallas (DFW), Denver (DEN), New York (JFK), San Francisco (SFO), Charlotte (CLT), Orlando (MCO), and Seattle (SEA).

If you’re planning on passing through these airports in the next couple weeks, be sure to budget extra time for security lines and crowds at the gates.
