Two New Budget Airlines Will Soon Start Flying In America

Traveling doesn’t have to break the bank, especially with all the low-budget airlines around these days. Now, two new low-cost carriers are coming to America.

Though Europe has plenty of budget airlines, low-cost carriers haven’t flourished as much in the states. Until now. WBUR reported that a new airline called XTRA is set to launch in the U.S. and it will be selling seats for astonishingly low prices. XTRA’s fares could be in the low double digits for domestic flights, and they’ll also be offering super affordable international flights.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

XTRA plans to have planes in the air by the end of 2019 and hopes to have a fleet of over 45 planes by the end of 2023. XTRA is still raising investor support, but the airline has received a strong level of interest from backers and expects to have funds in the bank and planes on the tarmac soon.
