Here Are The Best Times To Book Your Holiday Flights Back Home

Though the sound of jingle bells may seem like ages away, the best time to book your holiday flights is actually right now.

CheapAir has just released its 2018 Holiday Flights Report, which tracks over 11,000 itineraries from the most popular markets to determine what the average fare is for flights this upcoming holiday season.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

According to the research, booking your Thanksgiving flights between August and September will net you the biggest savings. Prices start to climb in October and you’ll be paying the most for Thanksgiving tickets in November.

For Christmas and New Year flights, you’re best off booking in September of October. Prices rise sharply in November and reach a high of $529 per ticket in December.

The report recommends booking any deals you find immediately, as ticket prices can fluctuate day to day.
