The Best Hotel Chain In America Isn’t Actually A Hotel – It’s Better
As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
When it comes to big name hotel chains, most likely some of the first places that you think of are Hilton, Holiday Inn, or Marriott hotels. Booking a stay at any one of these well-known hotels can be a good idea if you’re looking to have perks like free breakfast in the morning, access to amenities like pools and jacuzzis and receiving turndown service. However, not everyone is looking for the same type of lodging while going on vacation, and that’s what proves Budget Travel’s top hotel chain to be the best.
Sorting through everything to get down to who’s the best of the best, the annual Budget Travel Awards revealed who they crowned as the best hotel chain in the country for 2018 – and it’s even better than you might expect.
Surprising many of their readers, Budget Travel actually named Airbnb the best hotel chain!
Well aware of the fact that Airbnb isn’t truly a hotel chain, Budget Travel explained that when it came down to determining what travelers actually want when it comes to accommodations - Airbnb was the easy choice.
Between the affordability, the uniqueness of the experience, how user-friendly their site is, and how many different options you have to choose from, travelers were able to find what they wanted for their vacations more easily through Airbnb.
Simple filters on the Airbnb website allow users to specify a price range, the number of bedrooms, property type, neighborhood, and even particular amenities. It's the ultimate customization experience, so you can hand-select the perfect place for your getaway.
You may think that such incredible options come at an unreasonable high price; however, many of the options are far less expensive than the price of a hotel room and nearly all include unique amenities that are above and beyond what you find in a normal hotel.
