New Restrictions On Alcohol Could Be Coming To Airports In The U.S.
A recent disturbance on a Ryanair flight could mean that new restrictions on alcohol could be coming to airports in the U.S.
On June 16, a group of 20 intoxicated and rowdy passengers aboard a Ryanair flight to Ibiza were so disruptive that the plane had to be diverted to a Paris airport so that the individuals could be removed by police. The diversion delayed the Ibiza flight by nearly three hours.

In response to this incident, Ryanair is calling for increased restrictions on the sale and purchase of alcohol in airports. Some of the proposed restrictions include a two-drink limit for passengers in airports and a prohibition on selling alcoholic beverages before 10 a.m.
The budget airlines is also urging airports to better monitor passengers for inebriation in order to prevent potentially disastrous situations such as the Ibiza debacle.

Though Ryanair is an Irish carrier, these proposed policy changes would affect any Americans flying internationally and could even be implemented in domestic airports.
