While there’s no shortage of wildlife parks in Texas where you can get up close and personal with exotic animals, and Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch in Pilot Point is one of them. This unique destination is home to nearly 200 different species, including lions, tigers, and bears (oh my!) You can take a tram ride through the ranch and even pet some of the animals, and it’ll quickly become your new favorite family day trip.
Located in the Dallas suburb of Pilot Point, Sharkarosa Wildlife Ranch is one of the most underrated animal parks in Texas.
Private encounters with sloths, lemurs, kangaroos, and skunks can also be arranged for $100 per group (1-6 people.)

Other attractions include a petting zoo with sheep, goats, and miniature horses and donkeys, as well as presentations every 20 minutes at various locations on the ranch.
There's also a gift shop where you can pick up souvenirs to remember your visit by, plus a snack bar.
Visitors can embark on a self-guided tour of (don't worry, there are informational signs next to every habitat to make the experience as educational as possible.)
The ranch is open to the public from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Friday-Sunday. All other days of the week are reserved for private events, which you can schedule by calling (940) 686-4600.
