These Texas Houses Are Some Of The Weirdest You’ve Ever Seen – And You Can Tour Them For Yourself
Even if we won’t readily admit it, we all like weird stuff. We may not be interested in participating, but we’re more than happy to be nosy onlookers. Luckily, there’s an event in Texas designed for that specific purpose! The Weird Homes Tour began in Austin in 2013 and has since been named the best home tour in the city by Austin Monthly and one of the top 10 art events by the Austin Chronicle.
So, what is it exactly? It’s a tour that takes you to the weirdest homes in the city so you can marvel at and get a better understanding of how those who choose to be different live their lives. Keep scrolling to see some of the strangeness for yourself.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/
The Austin Weird Homes tour will take place on Saturday, April 21, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. To buy a ticket, click here.
