We don’t have very many noteworthy waterfalls here in Texas, and the most beautiful ones are far too tall to even think about boating down or doing anything other than admiring them from afar. Luckily, there’s one in the Hill Country that’s the perfect height (11 feet) for kayaking without being too dangerous – even for beginners. There’s also a huge pool of flat water at the bottom if you’d rather just hang out and watch the water cascade down the rocks. It’s called Graduation Falls, and it’s located about 1.5 miles down the San Marcos River with the San Marcos City Park as the starting point.

Have you ever been to Graduation Falls? What’s your favorite waterfall in Texas?
