Big Bend automatically comes to mind when we think about the mountains in our state, but there’s one place in particular that rises far above it (literally). Guadalupe Peak trail in Guadalupe Mountains National Park takes you through ascending canyons, steep cliffs, and raging waterfalls before reaching a summit of over 8,000 feet, making it the highest point in the entire state. If you want to feel on top of the world, this is the hike for you.
