The Unrivaled Canyon Hike In Texas Everyone Should Take At Least Once
There are so many things to do in Texas – restaurants, festivals, cute small towns – and of course, nature that’s unmatched by anything else. Big Bend automatically comes to mind when we think about the mountains in our state, but there’s one place in particular that rises far above it (literally). Guadalupe Peak trail in Guadalupe Mountains National Park takes you through ascending canyons, steep cliffs, and raging waterfalls before reaching a summit of over 8,000 feet, making it the highest point in the entire state. If you want to feel on top of the world, this is the hike for you.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
Have you ever hiked Guadalupe Peak trail? Was it as beautiful as it looks in pictures? What are some of your favorite hikes in Texas?
