This One Hike In Texas Will Give You An Unforgettable Experience
It’s no secret that Texas has abundant nature to explore and that most of said nature is breathtakingly beautiful. There are so many places to go hiking where the scenery will stop you in your tracks and make you feel as if you’d be content doing nothing else but admiring your surroundings for the rest of eternity. Because of this, it’s rather difficult to deem one place “THE best” hiking destination in the state – but not impossible. I’ve chosen the Lost Maples State Natural Area, because when fall rolls around and the trail becomes a canopy of vibrant reds, golds, and greens, I can’t think of anywhere else that makes me thank my lucky stars I’m from Texas quite like this gem.
We definitely do experience seasons in Texas - and they're captivating.
Even during other seasons, the splendor of Lost Maples prevails. (I've heard the hike is a nice challenge, too. Very steep, as you can see - but rewarding to finish!)
Knowing we have places like this right here at home makes my heart swell with pride for our Texas. Have you ever hiked at the Lost Maples State Natural Area? What other hikes in Texas take your breath away? Let us know in the comments!
