One of the most iconic and beloved German restaurants in Texas, Rudi Lechner's is known for its Old World charm and delicious menu of authentic German cuisine.
You'll typically see a menu board with the day's food and drink specials right at the entrance, so you can already get an idea of what's in store for your taste buds.

You'll also see some of the restaurant's numerous accolades hanging up on the walls. Rudi's isn't just a local favorite - it has also been recognized by such prestigious organizations as Zagat.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is very quaint, and the color scheme, architecture, and overall style makes you feel like you've been transported to Germany.
Now, onto what you've been waiting for: the food. The menu features all the usual suspects: several types of schnitzel, Hungarian goulash, Reuben sandwiches, and sides like sauerkraut and Austrian potatoes.
My personal favorite German food is sausage - particularly bratwurst. Rudi Lechner's has the best bratwurst I've ever tried, along with Polish sausage and knackwurst.
Other entrees include roasted chicken and pork loin, seafood dishes, appetizers such as soft pretzels, and desserts like apple strudel and black forest cake. There is also an all-you-can-eat buffet every Wednesday.
As if Rudi's couldn't get more authentic, guests enjoy live polka music and dancing every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Combined with plenty of German draft beer, it's Oktoberfest year-round here.
