Froberg’s Farm in Alvin has strawberry fields far as the eye can see, and it’s open all spring long for visitors to see firsthand where their food comes from.
From January until late May, the juiciest, most flavorful strawberries you've ever tasted abound at Froberg's Farm.
The 2023 hours are Tuesday-Friday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with hours subject to change due to weather. It will be closed on Easter Sunday.
Strawberry fields forever is truly what you'll find here. Bushes upon bushes of the sweet crop extend far as the eye can see, creating a red and green oasis akin to Christmastime.
Little ones have a blast seeking out the plumpest berries they can find. Bring the whole family, take plenty of pictures, and create lasting, unforgettable memories.
Once your buckets are full to the brim, head inside and get them weighed. The current going rate is $3 per pound, and prepackaged crates are available if you'd rather know the price up-front.

Fruit from right in the backyard has been used to make more than 35 different pies since 1989. After three decades of practice, it's safe to say the recipes have been perfected.
Depending on the season, you'll also find a wide selection of other treats. Frosted pecans, peanut brittle, cookies, and cake balls are just several of the delicious, homemade confections. All year round, many different freshly-canned preserves and jellies are available to choose from as well.
