A Stranger Things Funhouse Is Coming To Texas This Month
Stranger Things isn’t just a kids’ show…at least, that’s what we tell ourselves while re-watching every season for the umpteenth time. If you’re a fan, don’t miss this epic Upside Down-themed funhouse in Webster this month.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
Putt-Putt FunHouse first opened its doors in 1979, exactly 40 years ago. Originally housing only a miniature golf course and a few popcorn machines, this long-standing Bay Area attraction has changed drastically over the past half-century.
It now includes a vast array of family fun activities, including themed celebrations for holidays. One such event making its debut later this week is an epic Halloween extravaganza guaranteed to entertain all ages.
Every weekend in October, the funhouse is getting a Stranger Things makeover. It will bear a shocking resemblance to the popular Netflix series from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday-Sunday evenings.
It will be a scavenger hunt of sorts, in which participants are required to locate cards depicting the show's main characters. Anything is possible in the Upside Down, so thinking outside the box is a must if you want to emerge victorious.
Prepare to navigate a labyrinth that twists and turns on itself, replacing once-accessible pathways with solid brick walls. Nothing is as it seems down here, so good luck finding your way out.
Ferocious monsters wait around every corner, their gaping mouths lined with endless rows of razor-sharp teeth. It's essential to fight them off so you don't run out of time and end up trapped in the Upside Down...forever.
Other activities include bumper cars and boats, rock climbing, and the iconic mini golf course. Special discounts are offered every weekend, so keep the fun going all day long!
