The Unique Hotel In Texas Where You Can Sleep Inside A Shipping Container
A “houze” that feels like home is what you’ll find at Flophouze, a hotel in Round Top whose rooms are converted shipping containers. Don’t worry, they’re so much nicer than they sound. Fully furnished and equipped with both indoor and outdoor amenities akin to a 5-star, luxury resort, you’ll never want to leave your humble little abode.
Each houze is complete with a hammock, firepit, and comfy chairs outside for you to relax and take in the beautiful Round Top sunsets.
There are three different houzes, each sleeping up to four people and featuring either a queen or two twin beds, a Hollywood bathroom, and a kitchenette.
Those big, beautiful glass windows were salvaged from a school all the way in Philadelphia that was scheduled for demolition. That's reuse if I've ever seen it.
Upon your arrival, your houze will be equipped with complimentary coffee and tea, sparkling water, and authentic Mexican cokes - a heartwarming gesture that's sure to make you feel right at home.
