Few People Know There’s A Secret Butterfly Garden At One Of Texas’ Most Popular Swimming Holes
There are several places where you can see butterflies in Texas, including one you may not have heard of. Krause Springs, one of the most popular swimming holes in the state, also boasts a butterfly garden complete with lush greenery, tranquil fountains, and – of course – lots of butterflies! Take a dip in the spring-fed waters, then stroll through the butterfly garden for the ultimate nature-filled adventure.
Krause Springs has long been one of the most popular summer destinations in Texas, and for good reason. This pristine oasis is a mere 30 miles from Austin, yet it feels like a remote island where you can drop all your worries and recharge.
There are a total of 32 springs on the property, several of which feed into both a man-made and natural pool. Nothing beats a refreshing swim on a hot day!
If you need to get off your feet for a while, there are plenty of benches scattered throughout the gardens. Stop, smell the roses, and let the sounds of nature fill your ears.
Don't forget to keep your eyes peeled for butterflies - it is a butterfly garden, after all. One of them might even land on your finger if you're lucky!
