15 Romantic Places In Texas That You Really Need To Take That Special Someone
Oh, the first kiss..such an exciting, nerve-wracking, much-anticipated moment that really sets the stage for the rest of the relationship. The movieĀ Titanic makes a first kiss look effortless, but for some of us (me included) it requires a bit more planning. Luckily, I found these amazing spots right here in Texas that offer the perfect setting to make your first kiss a truly unforgettable experience.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
1) Bring your love out to the Williams Tower Waterwall in Houston, one of the best places in the city to sneak in that first kiss.
5) Hike up Mount Bonnell in Austin as the sun goes down and lock lips with that special someone. There's a reason why this is one of the top make-out spots in Austin - I mean, just look at that view!
7) Bring your date kayaking on the Medina River - this mostly secluded river is the perfect place to enjoy the bald cypress trees and lean in for a smooch.
8) For everyone way out yonder in El Paso, take in the beautiful scenery of the Franklin Mountains and pull your love in for a kiss in the romantic seclusion of the desert.
9) Something about old, abandoned railroad trestles just scream romance, so bring your sweetie out to Brenham for an amazing first kiss among the dense greenery.
10) Let your romance blossom among the bigtooth maple trees in the Lost Maples State Natural Area, one of the most geologically unique places in the state.
12) The small bridges and soothing sounds of water at the Japanese Garden at Hermann Park in Houston offer a quiet, natural setting to get closer to the one who stole your heart.
14) Spend a few hours relaxing by the bay in Corpus Christi, and go in for a kiss as sun starts to fade into the horizon. Water just makes everything more romantic.
Obviously, Texas has so many beautiful places to share a first kiss with someone special, but I tried to find spots located all throughout the state. What other romantic hideaways would you add to the list?
