This Remote Restaurant In Texas Will Take You A Million Miles Away From Everything
In Texas, our favorite restaurants by far are the ones that most people have never heard of. The ones that are like a shining beacon of light in the middle of nowhere, with nothing around for miles aside from long country roads and the occasional gas station. My mission is to uncover as many as possible so that y’all can experience what good Southern cookin’ tastes like. I think we’re off to a good start here with Snow’s BBQ in Lexington. It’s been voted the #1 barbecue in the state by many, and I believe it’s worthy of that title.

People really do come from all over the country to the little town of Lexington for some of the best barbecue in Texas.

But come Saturday morning, she loses the uniform, dons an apron, and turns into a mean barbecue machine.

All the meat is slow-smoked to perfection and practically melts in your mouth. It makes sense considering Mrs. Tootsie has been in the game for almost 50 years.

So good, in fact, that Texas Monthly voted it the #1 barbecue in Texas back in 2008.

But it's undeniably worth it because passing up the opportunity to try some of Texas' finest barbecue isn't even an option.
Have you ever been to Snow’s? What was your experience like?
