This Peter-Pan Themed Mini Golf Course In Texas Is Absolutely Magical
Many of us watched Peter Pan as children and dreamed about entering the fictional world of whimsy. We might be all grown up now, but our inner child can still come out and play at at this enchanting miniature golf course in Austin. Check it out:
Unbeknownst to most, our own little slice of Neverland exists right here in Texas. In true Austin fashion, however, this one is a lot weirder than the magical city we all know and love.
Since 1948, Peter Pan Mini Golf and all its whimsical obstacles has been an unchanging fixture in downtown Austin. Two 18-hole courses provide completely different experiences, so you can choose a different adventure on every visit.
Whether you choose the East or West course, get ready to put your accuracy and precision skills to the test. Some of the most notable challenges include a loop-de-loop, turtle, T-Rex, and piggy bank.
Peter Pan himself is located on the West side, so go with that one to get a firsthand look at the course's namesake. But be warned - the East is supposedly easier, so pick your battle accordingly.
The course is open until 11 p.m. or midnight every day, and a BYOB policy keeps crowds flowing in until closing time. Coolers are encouraged so long as they don't contain any glass bottles.
You'll find the course at 1207 Barton Springs Road
