Texas might be second to a big iceberg with a million polar bears and about three people in terms of size, but how awesome we are makes up for it. Every Texan knows our state is the best, and most people from out of state know it too. If you don’t, you will after you read this article.
Occasionally we like to give our horses a rest and drive cars to work instead. Luckily, Southeast Texas is home to the largest oil gusher in the history of the world, Spindletop. If you like cheap gas prices, then this is the state for you!

From the majestic desert of the Big Bend to the lush pine trees of the Big Thicket, Texas has it all. You never even need to travel outside of the Lone Star State to get a glimpse of every terrain and climate imaginable. Who’s up for a road trip?

Our pride here in Texas might just be bigger than the state itself. Don’t bother asking someone if they’re from Texas because it’ll probably be the first thing out of their mouth.
What state has its own language that can be recognized all over the country? That’s right, Texas. Say "y’all" in Washington, D.C. and everyone within earshot will gather around and ask if you ride your horse to work. Northerners, does "you guys" attract the same amount of attention? Didn’t think so.
We’re home to such good ice cream that kids throw tantrums in the grocery store when the company gets recalled. Sure, you can find it in other states too, but it only tastes good in Texas.
No, I’m not talking about the movie. If you want to see so much spirit and enthusiasm that would make you think you’re at the Super Bowl every weekend, come experience the religion that is high school football in Texas.
In Texas, we have several varieties of tea: sweet, very sweet, and teeth-rotting after the first sip. Drink up!

One thing’s for sure, Texans will never let you forget that they’re glad you could join them in the greatest state of them all.
