Located in a cozy, remodeled home in Denton, Osteria il Muro is a humble little Italian restaurant that opened in December 2021 - and has stolen the hearts of locals and visitors alike since then.
Seating is very limited here, but the intimate atmosphere only adds to the restaurant's charm (and its waitlist). Reservations are required, and tables book up months in advance - so don't waste any time snagging a spot.
Quality and freshness are two core values here at Osteria il Muro. Everything is made from scratch using seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients. There is even an on-site garden!
The menu changes daily based on what is available, but it always features some sort of homemade bread, appetizers and salads, fresh pasta dishes, decadent desserts, and an extensive wine list.
You can't go wrong no matter what you order, but patrons especially can't get enough of the pasta. It's made in-house using traditional techniques that have been perfected over centuries, offering a little taste of Italy right here in Texas.
Whether you prefer spaghetti, gnocchi, or tortellini, there are a variety of pastas to choose from. The flavor combinations are unique and innovative - things like green garlic and fried black pepper make regular appearances - making for a truly one-of-a-kind dining experience.
Meat-forward entrees such as short ribs, lamb shanks, and chicken and seafood dishes are offered on a semi-regular basis. As with everything else here, they are simply to die for.
