Boerne’s Beloved Old West Christmas Light Fest Will Be Returning To Texas
This coming holiday season might be a little uncertain, but one thing’s for sure: the Old West Christmas Light Fest is returning to Boerne for its seventh straight year (and the 2nd year at Enchanted Ranch.) It’s the most Texas way to celebrate the holiday season. Take a look:
For the second year in a row, the Old West Christmas Light Fest will bring holiday cheer to Enchanted Ranch in Boerne. It isn't the typical venue for a light show, but the uniqueness only serves to add character and ensure lasting memories.
With over 40 authentic Western buildings, it feels like you're stepping into a ghost town -- well, one that's illuminated by thousands of twinkling lights. Live music fills the Silver Spur Saloon, a light maze and scavenger hunt entertain the kiddos, and the Old West jail leaves those on the naughty list shaking in their boots.
Although it isn't a drive-thru event, guests will pass through an awe-inspiring tunnel en route to the parking lot. Up head, the entire display starts coming into view, and you'll grow ever-more anticipated with each passing minute.
This year, an all-new synchronized light show promises to leave you in a state of wide-eyed wonderment. Other activities include games, laser tag, Christmas-themed escape rooms, cookie decorating classes, and an Old West post office where the little ones can send letters to Santa.
Don't worry about Mr. Grinch stealing all the Roast Beast, as there'll be plenty of food to go around. Tacos, burgers, Cajun cuisine, and sushi are just a handful of the delicious eats to choose from. You can even make s'mores over a campfire and enjoy a steamy mug of hot cocoa!
If this doesn't define Christmas in the Lone Star State, we aren't sure what would. Oh, and by the way, pictures with Santa are totally free. Old Saint Nick will be here every night, so bring your wish list!
Old West Christmas Light Fest kicks off at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and runs through December 25. Tickets aren't on sale just yet, so keep checking the official website or Facebook page for the latest updates.
